Above all, we like animals, and that is why there are so many at our home. We have parrots, fishes, many birds and our beloved dogs. Some people call us crazy, and they are not far from the truth. Well, that doesn’ t matter. Everyone has some kind of madness, and one of our greater pleasures it’s our pets.
We have our pets for the joy they provide as they share with us the journey in this earthly life. This is our vision and our relationship with our pets, a relationship of deep affection, respect, and gratitude for all that they give us.
We try to give them everything they need to be happy, and we make every effort to keep them happy and healthy. And they reciprocate as best they know, just being there, vibrant beings of docile temperament, intelligent, affectionate, unique. We wished never to part with any of them, but that is impossible. Therefore, some have to go to new homes, taking joy and giving others the opportunity to also enjoy their companionship. We already do this with some of our birds, which are the delight of his owners in locations from North to South of Portugal (and portuguese Islands) and even in other countries. With Dogs this is not yet a reality, but maybe some day it can be. |
We do not breed our birds in a commercial way, and we obviously never would to that with our dogs, if someday we decide to breed them. Our Breeding will be completely 'amateur', although quite informed, careful, selective and accompanied to the smallest detail. Each animal represents for us a unique opportunity to be with a being that depends on us, and that we will always love and care with all our affection.
Our first experience with French Bouledogues dates many years ago, more than 25. It started with a dog I got at a pet shop and was named "Bogue". It was an extraordinary dog and I had the rare opportunity to have him for about 13 years.
‘Bog’ passed the raibow bridge and I had other dogs, but never contacted again with the race until some time ago, by chance, I came across a photo on the internet of a beautiful baby bitch. I was not thinking on buying a dog, but that was love at first site and the image of that puppy never left my head. I finally decided to contact the breeder, and to my astonishment the puppy I had seen in the photo was available. Needless to say I got her almost immediately. Of course I already knew the breeder from ring (as a Dogo Argentino Breeder) and I also did some complementary research about the quality of this French Bulldogs. |
After a while, I started to 'cook' the acquisition of a male, and after some research and several visits and contacts, I chose a male from a lesser known breeder but whit a good pedigree. The observation of the dog, and its mother and father, made me decide.
That's how we acquired Igor (Igor du Val of Katrina) and we get our pair of freaks. From now on, only the future knows what life has in store for us. For now, the satisfaction and joy that our dogs give us (which are not limited to the French bulldogss) was what led us to create this page. We are Paul, Andrea and Isabela, the bird and dog crazy, but we are happy as such. |
